In 2022, I packed up my life and moved to Barcelona, and I quickly learned just how important it is to have the right gear for moving abroad. That is why I am starting this series: to share the absolute perfect items I’ve found for traveling and relocating. If you’re looking to escape the buzz of Barcelona for a day, Blanes is the perfect coastal retreat. Just over an hour by train from the city, this charming seaside town marks the gateway to the Costa Brava and offers a quieter, more authentic taste of Catalonia.

I went with a friend to a rooftop bar, and it was such an amazing experience! This rooftop bar is located near La Sagrada Familia and has one of the best views of the church.
This week, my parents came to visit me from The Netherlands. Because I had time off as well, we could do some things together in Barcelona. Read further about our daytrip to Girona, having dinner at a tapas restaurant and watching the sunset from the beach.
I went to Girona for a day from Barcelona, it is such a beautiful place! If you have time for some daytrips, defenitely add this one to your to do list 🙂
From Barcelona you have many places to go for a day, Tossa de Mar in the famous Costa Brava is one of them. It is such an amazing place, I went in the end of September with one of my friends and the temperature is still very good. I also noticed that there aren’t many tourists anymore, because this place is quite famous for it’s picturesque streets, the good food, cute boutiques and of course the hidden gem: the small beach and the amazing view over it.
