From Barcelona you have many places to go for a day, Tossa de Mar in the famous Costa Brava is one of them. It is such an amazing place, I went in the end of September with one of my friends and the temperature is still very good. I also noticed that there aren’t many tourists anymore, because this place is quite famous for it’s picturesque streets, the good food, cute boutiques and of course the hidden gem: the small beach and the amazing view over it.

How to get there
To get to Tossa de Mar, you can take the bus from barcelona estacio del nord. You’ll need line 2 towards Tossa de Mar and it takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to get there. At the station you can buy tickets at the ticket office and they will let you know at which number the bus will be. It is about 13 euros for a single ticket.
Because there can be many tourist that want to go to Tossa de Mar the bus will be full quickly, so remember to get at the bus station on time, so you can still buy tickets for the bus you have in mind. Of course it can be that it is sold out, but luckily the bus to Tossa de Mar goes often. I believe it is every 15/20 minutes.
Make sure that when you arrive at Tossa de Mar to buy the tickets for the way back to Barcelona already so you’ll be sure you have a spot on the bus 🙂
There is also another way to get to Tossa de Mar: You could take the train to Blanes from Barcelona Sants and take the bus from Blanes to Tossa de Mar.

Wander around the old town
Tossa de Mar has a beautiful old town with picturesque streets, cozy restaurants and many boutiques. Make sure to walk around for a bit before you spend the rest of the day at the beach 🙂
Eat at one of the many restaurants
Take a break from the beach or walking around and enjoy the amazing food of catalunya at one of the restaurants.
Relax at the beach
You may know Tossa de Mar because of the hidden beach, but there is as well a bigger beach on the other side. So in case there are to many people on the small beach, then don’t worry you can still find a spot on the other side.
Hike to see the hidden beach and amazing views
To get to see the famous hidden beach from above you need to walk to cala Codolar. From here it is a small hike up, where you’ll see amazing views of the beach and the old town of Tossa de Mar.
