Daytrips from Barcelona

Barcelona is an amazing city, where you have lots of things to see and do but it can also be very crowded. The perfect way to escape the city life is to do a daytrip and luckily Catalunya is full with beautiful places. Here are 3 options 🙂

Tarragona

1,5 hours from Barcelona with the train is the beautiful city Tarragona, you can either take the train from Barcelona Sants or Estación de Francia. And a one way ticket is around 8 euros.

Tarragona is on the World Heritage list, and is one of the oldest cities of Catalunya. Here you can still find Roman remains.

Girona

About 1 hour and 20 minutes away with the train from Barcelona you can find Girona. A lovely town, with lots of things to do. You can take the train from Barcelona Sants and a single ticket is about 11 euros.

Sitges

Sitges is a village about 40 minutes with the train from Barcelona, it is a perfect daytrip for both beach day and wandering around the picturesque streets of Sitges. You can take the train from Barcelona Sants and a single ticket is about 5 euros.
