Why I made the Moving Abroad journal

In 2022 I moved to Spain, from The Netherlands. Not only did I move to another country, it was also my first time living on my own. Back in The Netherlands I always lived with my parents, so there was a lot to get used to.

It’s a lot to take in, being on your own, finding a place to live, navigating the bureaucracy of a new country, and managing all the other things that come with moving abroad.

When I started preparing for my move, I quickly realized how chaotic the process can be. I felt overwhelmed by everything I needed to do and became quite stressed. Something I was so excited about suddenly turned into something I was almost dreading. I’ve always been someone who loves planning, I have planners, agendas, and notebooks everywhere, and Notion is my best friend. But even with that, I struggled to keep everything organized.

Eventually, I figured it all out. But it got me thinking: what if there was a planner specifically designed for moving abroad, something that could make the whole process feel clearer, calmer, and more manageable?

I already created my eBooks How to Move Abroad and How to Move to Spain, packed with practical information. Creating a physical planner felt like the perfect addition.

And that’s how this planner came to life.

My Moving Abroad Journal is designed to help you prepare for your move abroad, guide you through the process, and capture your journey along the way. It’s not just about staying organized, it’s also a place to document your experiences and memories from one of the biggest adventures of your life yet.

I hope that with this journal, you’ll have a better experience preparing for your move abroad than I had 🙂
