My friend came to visit, so I showed her around my favorite city. It was her first time in Barcelona, so we did a lot of touristy things as well. Follow along for some tips :).
Friday
My friend arrived the evening before, but because of jet lag we didn’t do much that night. The next day, we were ready to explore. I live close to the Sagrada Familia, so of course I had to show her this first. After admiring it for a while, we headed to our next stop: Park Güell. We walked around the park, enjoying the amazing views over Barcelona.
After Park Güell, we went to a bookstore because my friend was looking for a gift. We ended the day by cooking dinner and watching Gilmore Girls 🙂

Saturday
There was a market around the corner of where I live, so we decided to stroll around for a bit. After that we grabbed coffee at one of my favorite places: Syra Coffee, before walking to the city center. This day was all about bookstores, checking out Casa Mila & Casa Batlló and treating ourselves (and for gifts) with some chocolate at this lovely chocolate store: Chocolate Amatller (this one is located next to Casa Batlló inside Casa Museu Amatller, but there are more locations in Barcelona).
The rest of the day we walked around the neighborhood Eixample. And we ended the day with going out for dinner. We went to one of my favorite tapas places: El Bandarra Taperia, located in the neighborhood Gràcia.

Sunday
We started the day in the neighborhood El Born, because we were going to do one of my favorite things: Painting Ceramic. Some of you might already know by now that I am kind of addicted to this haha. I have been to multiple places in Barcelona, but La Ceramicaria in El Born is still one of my favorites :). Before our session, we walked around the neighborhood, grabbed coffee at Coffee Casa, and checked out some small boutiques like Mercilona and The Hands, perfect spots to find souvenirs.
Ater painting ceramics we headed to Barri Gòtic to wander around. We ended the day with a walk through Eixample and cooked dinner at home 🙂

Monday
We started the day with a walk in Parc de la Ciutadella. For lunch we went to Alsur cafe, which I really recommend! Then it was time for the chocolate museum. I had never been there myself, so I was really excited. You can check the Museu de la Xocolata website for more information, (tickets are 7 euros and you can eat it later 🙂 ). After the museum, we went to Barceloneta Beach. I love that at this time of year (actually, all year round) it’s still so nice to walk along the beach.
This was the last full day of my friend’s visit. I hope you got some good tips for your own trip to Barcelona 🙂
