Barcelona is a city of captivating light and mesmerizing skyline moments. Whether you’re after romantic views, peaceful escapes, or lively gatherings, here are some of the best spots to savor the sunset.
Bunkers del Carmel
One of the most celebrated sunset spots in the city, these old anti-aircraft bunkers atop Turó de la Rovira offer 360° panoramic views from the Mediterranean to the iconic city blocks. It’s popular for good reason, expect groups picnicking, music, and glowing skies.

Parc del Guinardó
Nestled in the hills of Horta‑Guinardó, this park offers peaceful elevated views of the city, without the crowds of the bunkers. A tranquil choice for quiet reflection.

Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC)
Standing majestically on Montjuïc, MNAC’s rooftop terrace and even its grand front steps make for dramatic sunset vantage points, with sweeping views over the city.

Montjuïc Castle
Perched at 173 m, the castle provides sweeping views of sea, harbor, and city as the sun dips below the horizon. A ride up via cable car adds to the experience.

Rooftop Bars & Restaurants
El Xalet de Montjuïc – Enjoy a gourmet Mediterranean meal with panoramic views as day turns into night.
Casa de Vivi / Sercotel Rosellón – Though not as widely covered in mainstream guides, modern rooftop bars like these (in or near Eixample) are perfect for cocktails with a view—great for a stylish sunset experience.

Carrer de Molist
This is one of my favorite streets in Barcelona, of course because of the amazing view but also because most of the time it is really quiet. So you can enjoy the view in peace 🙂

Tibidabo Hill
As the golden hour arrives, Tibidabo offers a unique experience, peaceful and surreal, with fewer crowds than other spots like the Bunkers del Carmel. The sky shifts through oranges, purples, and pinks while the city below begins to sparkle with night lights. The elevation gives you the full gradient of sunset, sky, city, and sea, all at once.
Enjoy the beautiful views of Barcelona 🙂
