Welcome to the very first edition of my new blog series: Recommendations of the Month! Every month, I’ll be sharing my favorite finds, experiences, and must-do’s around the city I call home, beautiful Barcelona. From cozy cafés and hidden corners to local events, seasonal eats, and free things to do, this series is all about helping you experience the city like a local, at a relaxed pace.
Whether you live here too or you’re just passing through, I hope these monthly picks inspire you to slow down, look around, and really enjoy what Barcelona has to offer, one month at a time.
Horoscoffee
This cute cafe is located near La Sargrada Familia. They are pretty new, and have amazing coffee! definitely worth stopping by on your way to the beautiful church.

Daytrip to Garraf
With the train from Barcelona you can also go to Garraf, it is a small village with a beautiful beach. It is definitely worth checking out. The only thing with Garraf is that the beach is pretty small, so it can be crowded definitely when it is the holiday season. But nonetheless I do think it is worth checking out! It takes about 40 minutes and you can take the train at either Barcelona Sants or Passeig de Gracia. It is the Rodalies R2S towards estación de tren Vilanova I la Geltrú. The beach is about a 5 minute walk from the train station and a roundtrip is around 8 euros.

La Petite Parade vintage market
This amazing vintage market is located in one of my favorite neighborhoods of Barcelona: El Born. It is free to enter and definitely worth checking out. Don’t worry about the dates, they are every weekend open from 12:00 till 20:30. Check their instagram: @lapetiteparade_vintagemarket for more information.
Parque del Guinardó
To escape the crowded city, you can come to this park. It is absolutely one of my favorite things to do, especially if I need some quiet time. This park offers amazing views of Barcelona, also a perfect location to watch the sunset.

Tossa de mar
If you’re craving a quick getaway from the city, Tossa de Mar is an absolute gem. Just about 1.5 hours from Barcelona by bus or car, this charming coastal town on the Costa Brava offers the perfect mix of history, nature, and relaxation. Stroll through the medieval walled town (Vila Vella), soak up the sun on the beach, or take a short hike along the cliffs for breathtaking sea views. It’s peaceful, picturesque, and a refreshing break from the city buzz, perfect for a spontaneous weekend escape.
