The magical time is here again, the whole city will be decorated in beautiful Christmas lights. From the 28th of November they will put the lights finally on. So if you are in Barcelona, don’t forget to walk around in the evening 🙂
My favorite neighborhoods to walk around:
The old part (El Born & Barrio Gotico)
Because of the small streets, boutiques etc. it gives a cozy vibe when you walk around in the old part. This is also where you will find the oldest christmas market of Barcelona (at the square of the Cathedral) and the Christmas tree at Jaume square.
Eixample
To be specific, my favorite streets are Passeig de Gracia and Carrer del Pelai. These have in my opinion the best Christmas decoration of Eixample. Of course don’t forget to walk around the neighborhood because there are so many more streets that are beautifully decorated. Also don’t forget to check out the light show of Casa Batllo.
Vila Gracia
This is a beautiful neighborhood as well, a bit similar to the old part of Barcelona. Because of all the small streets it gives a really cozy vibe. I would definitely recommend to put this on your to do list when you are in Barcelona during December 🙂
Even though these are my favorite neighborhoods to walk around when the Christmas lights are on, Barcelona has so many more beautiful neighborhoods. So if you have time, just wander around the city and enjoy the amazing sights of Barcelona.
