My best friend visited me from The Netherlands, she had to work, but we still did quite a lot in Barcelona. Read on further to get to know how it is to live in Barcelona and some tips on what you can do when you are here 🙂
Monday
Like I said before my friend had to work while being in Barcelona but from the end of the day we were both free to do things, we decided to do a hike at Parque del Guinardó to watch the sunset. There were amazing views!!
I already posted about this park, so if you want to know how to get there read this post 🙂
Tuesday
On Tuesday we went for a break between work and got ourselves a matcha at the Matcha crew near Sagrada Familia. And went to the park next to the Sagrada where we enjoyed the views and drank our matchas and the delicious cake.

In the evening we decided to watch the sunset from the beach Playa de la Nova Icaria. The views were amazing and we really enjoyed being at the beach again.
After that we went to the firework show of the end of the festival La Mercé. It was so beautiful but veryyy crowded. So if you decide to go next year, make sure to be on time, especially if you go with the metro. I stupidely thought it would be enough time to go 30 minutes before. But when we wanted to take the metro to Placa Espanya, it was closed because of how crowded it was 😦 so we decided to walk 40 minutes, and luckily we were still on time, and got to see the whole show. Note: if you decide to meet friends there, know that the internet probably won’t work because of the insanely amount of people there. so it is best to meet at a place with easy access. 🙂

Wednesday
In the evening we went for tapas at the rooftop bar of Casa de Vivi, we booked on the website around the time of sunset so we could enjoy that as well while eating amazing tapas 🙂
After that we went for a walk in the old town before going home again.

Thursday
This day my friend had to do some content creation for her work so, we went to multiple shops to shoot and after that we went for a coffee at Camelia Art cafe near Sagrada Familia, before going back home and work some more.

In the afternoon we went to the neighborhhood Gracia, to walk around and shop for a bit. This neighborhood is one of my favorites to walk around 🙂

We decided to have a cozy night in and painted candles while watching a movie.

Friday
This was the only whole day my friend was off before going back to The Netherlands, so we decided to do a day trip. Tossa de Mar was already on my list for a while, so I was really excited to finally go there. And it really did not disappoint!! Such amazing views and the beaches are absolutely stunning. It is definitely worth to check it out if you have the time. If you want to know more about Tossa de Mar and how to get there, read this post 🙂
Saturday
This was the last day my friend was here, and because her flight was in the afternoon we couldn’t do a lot. So we just took it easy, packed her suitcases and said our goodbyes again.
Sunday
This day was quite busy for me because my parents arrived to visit for a week. So I had to clean my apartment, but in the evening we went for dinner at the Taller de Tapas in Eixample. address: Rambla de Catalunya 49. I really enjoyed the food there, it can be crowded and because you can’t make a reservation there is a chance you have to wait in line.
And that was the last day already, enjoy your time in Barcelona 🙂
