Parks in Málaga

One thing I love to do is to wander around in parks, I don’t know what it is, but it makes me calm. If you are like me then read on further to get to know the parks of Málaga.

Parque de Málaga

This park is located in the center of Málaga, it’s origin out of 1896 and inspired by Cánovas del Castillo. there is a lot to see. and it is quite big. Next to the park you will find the Paseo de Málaga. It is a perfect park to wander around.

Jardines de Puerta Oscura

Designed by architect Fernando Guerrero-Strachan Rosado, this (small) park is absolutely beautiful. Definitely worth to check it out.

Jardines de Pedro Luis Alonso

My absolute favorite park of Málaga, it is soo beautiful and so calm as well. When you need a break of the busy city, this is the place to be. Take a book with you, go sit on one of the many benches and enjoy your day there.

This park was designed in 1947 by Fernando Guerrero-Strachan. The name refers to the first mayor of Málaga after the end of the civil war.

Jardín Botánico Historico la concepción

This garden was created in 1855, unfortunately I didn’t had time to go to this garden. But if you do, you should definitely check it out. From this garden are amazing views of Málaga as well.

Opening hours are: Tuesday to Sunday, summertime: 09:30/20:30, wintertime: 09:30/17:30. And a standard ticket is €5,20.

On their website you’ll find more information.

The small garden behind the cathedral

Behind the Cathedral of Málaga, you’ll find a small garden. When I was there in August it was really calm, so eventho it is right in the city center, maybe you’ll be able to find a spot there and enjoy the views around you.
