Museums in Barcelona

Barcelona has amazing museums, whether it is a rainy day or you want to escape the heat for a while, going to a museum is always a good option. Here are my favorite ones 🙂

Picasso Museum

One of my favorite museums is the Picasso museum. This museum is dedicated to the work of Pablo Picasso, a ticket is 12 euros and opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00.

Moco Museum

Located in a 16th century palace you can find the Moco museum. Here they have works by celebrated modern and contemporary artists. Tickets are from €14,95.

Banksy

Banksy is known for his street art and this museum has more than 130 works of Banksy. Tickets are from 11 euros and opening hours are from Monday to Sunday 10:00 to 20:00.

Museu de Nacional d’art de Catalunya

MNAC is definitely worth a visit, not only do they have a beautiful view over Barcelona (outside and inside) but they also have a beautiful art collection. Here you can find the most representative artists of Catalan modernism such as Gaudi or Casas. And much more!

tip: every Saturday from 3pm and the first Sunday of the month the tickets are for free.

Museu Europeu d’art Modern

This museum is located in the old part of Barcelona as well, here you will find modern art of the 20th and 21st century. The collection contains nearly 1000 works from 300 different artists. You’ll find works made with oil painting, acrylic painting and much more.

Opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11:00 to 19:00. A general ticket is 13 euros.
